Ricoh USA, a Digital Business Services & Printing Solutions company, has joined Certified Information Governance Officers Association (CIGOA), Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), Hyland Software, Iron Mountain, and Institute for Information Governance in supporting a global information governance survey by InfoGov World Media. The groundbreaking information governance (IG) survey was designed to gain critical insights into how information governance (IG) programs are planned and implemented around the world.

To ensure a thorough analysis, the study includes 25 questions, and the resulting report will be translated into seven languages and distributed in more than twenty countries including USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Brazil, India, Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, El Salvador, and Mexico.

The formation of the survey was designed to learn how IG programs are being implemented, which projects are returning the most benefit, and which technologies are being leveraged. The study also aims to discern organizations’ greatest IG challenges, drivers, requirements, and operational focus.

“Ricoh is pleased to support the annual Global IG Study, because legal and information governance professionals are who we serve,” said David Greetham, VP of Information Governance and eDiscovery at Ricoh “and we hope that our expertise continues to resonate with these teams as we continue to innovate.”

Raymond Aschenbach, Senior Vice President, GM – Head of Global Digital Solutions at Iron Mountain, stated, “A robust information governance program allows organizations to achieve their strategic goals, accomplish digital transformation, mitigate risk, and reduce costs. As the leader in Information Management, we’re excited to be a part of this global IG study and look forward to seeing how we can better help our customers achieve their IG goals.”

The fact that this powerful group of IG innovators has joined with IG World magazine in this groundbreaking effort underscores its significance. Robert Smallwood, CEO of IG World, said, “We are single-minded in our goal to provide accurate, current information to IG practitioners on what is working around the world and what is not, to help foster the development of IG programs.”

The results will first be released at InfoGov World Expo, an IG conference held in 3D virtual reality in September 2021.
