A product that provides multidimensional analysis of data, aggregates and metadata stored in a relational database management system (RDBMS). The multidimensional processing may be done within the RDBMS, a mid-tier server or the client. A merchant ROLAP is one from an independent vendor which can work with any standard RDBMS.
