The Report on the Review of Patient-Identifiable Information 1997 by the committee chaired by Dame Fiona Caldicott. The Caldicott Report made a number of recommendations for regulating the use and transfer of patient-identifiable information including the introduction of “Guardians” in each NHS organization.
